FAQ
How long does it take to install a wheelchair loading system in a vehicle?
The installation time depends on the chosen system and vehicle type:
Ladeboy (boot): approx. 4.5 hours
Ladeboy S: approx. 5 hours
Scooterboy: approx. 10 hours
Ladeboy S2 with swing door: approx. 70–110 hours
Ladeboy S2 with electric sliding door: approx. 18 hours
The actual installation of the Ladeboy S2 system takes about 5–8 hours. The majority of the time is spent on the door drive mechanism, which varies depending on the vehicle. We are happy to provide you with tailored advice.
How reliable are Rausch Technik’s wheelchair loading systems?
Our systems rank among the most reliable on the market. With over 25 years of practical experience and proven technology deployed thousands of times, we offer robust, low-maintenance solutions that often operate flawlessly for more than a decade. Quality "Made in Germany" you can trust.
Even under extreme conditions — snow, heat, or daily use — our technology performs dependably. For many customers, it’s a reliable companion in everyday life.
Can I become a distributor or installation partner without prior knowledge?
Yes, we offer comprehensive training and close support during the initial installation for new partners, enabling an easy start even without specific prior experience. After installation, our technical support remains available for questions and further training.
A high level of technical care and commitment to learning our systems is essential. Only professional installation ensures the full quality of our products and long-term customer satisfaction.
How quickly are spare parts available?
Our key spare parts are kept in stock and usually delivered within a few days—express delivery is available if needed.
Is it possible to uninstall the wheelchair loading system?
Yes, the Ladeboy (boot), Ladeboy S, and Scooterboy are designed for seamless removal without traces. The vehicle largely remains in its original state—especially beneficial for leased vehicles or resale.
The Ladeboy S2 can also be fully removed, though the swing door is rarely taken off in practice, as the effort often outweighs the benefit; many vehicles are sold with the swing door installed.
How many seats remain after installation?
This depends on the loading system, vehicle model, and wheelchair dimensions:
Ladeboy S2 typically removes two seats; with the swivel module, an additional seat may be retained with folded wheelchair loading.
Ladeboy (boot) generally retains all seats in station wagons, SUVs, and vans.
Smaller vehicles often require folding down the rear bench, leaving one seat on the back bench. In addition, upgrading with a telescopic extension for the Ladeboy boot also allows all seats to be retained.
An upgrade with a telescopic pull-out for the Ladeboy (boot) can also preserve all seats.
Each project is individual and depends on multiple factors — we carefully assess every vehicle to maximize available seating.
Can I distribute a single product only?
Yes, you can selectively distribute single products from our portfolio, such as the Ladeboy S2 or the Scooterboy.
For newcomers or niche markets, focusing on one product can be an effective entry point. We support you in selecting the right portfolio for your target audience.
Does the wheelchair need to be modified for installation?
In most cases, no modifications or adaptations to the wheelchair are necessary. Our systems are flexible and accommodate standard wheelchairs, collapsible wheelchairs, and most electric drive systems such as e-fix or e-motion.
The mobility of your clients is our priority—we adapt to their wheelchairs, not the other way around.
Does Rausch Technik dictate pricing?
No, you purchase from us at agreed terms. You are free to set your own prices to your end customers. We provide only a non-binding recommended retail price as guidance.
This recommendation serves as orientation — the final pricing decision is yours.
